Walking Macho Tacos
-
Yields: 4–6 servings
-
Prep time: 5 mins | Cook time: 10 mins
Ingredients
-
1.5 tbsp K&Co. Apothecary Macho Taco Seasoning
-
1 lb Ground Beef (or ground turkey)
-
1/2 cup Water
-
4–6 Individual-sized bags of corn chips (Fritos) or nacho cheese chips (Doritos)
-
Toppings: Shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, shredded cheese, and pickled jalapeños.
Instructions
-
Prepare the Macho Meat: In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through. Drain any excess grease.
-
Season & Simmer: Add 1.5 tbsp of Macho Taco seasoning. Stir the dry spices into the meat for about 30 seconds to let them toast, then pour in 1/2 cup of water. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until the liquid reduces into a thick, flavorful glaze.
-
Prep the Bags: Gently crush the chips inside the individual bags before opening them. Use scissors to cut the top off the bag (or cut down the side of the bag for a "boat" style).
-
Assemble: Ladle a generous scoop of the seasoned Macho beef directly into the bag over the chips.
-
Load it Up: Add your toppings—cheese first (so it melts against the hot meat), followed by lettuce, tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream.
-
Serve: Stick a plastic fork inside and serve immediately while the chips are still crunchy.
